The American School was founded in 2010 as a private and international Early Childhood to Grade 12 college preparatory school. Our goal is to educate the whole child incorporating mind, body, and spirit. Strong partnership of motivated students, caring faculty and parents, affirms and challenges each person within a dynamic American educational program enriched by a multicultural setting in Vietnam. TAS promotes high standards of excellence by enhancing student learning for leadership in a global world.
In 2013, TAS achieved full accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), which is a globally recognized organization that accredits schools and universities. This accreditation is a testament to the high-quality education that TAS provides, and it demonstrates the school's commitment to meeting rigorous academic standards.
In 2014, TAS celebrated a major milestone when the first senior class graduated from the school. This achievement marked the culmination of years of hard work by both the students and the faculty, and it demonstrated the school's commitment to providing students with the education and resources they need to succeed.
We've achieved an incredible balance amongst our students and teachers. Here are some interesting stats for you: Student To Teacher Ratio Early Childhood 2:1, Elementary 8:1, Middle School 4:1, High School 6:1 and our diversity of students includes the following 7.4% American, 72% Vietnam, 8.5% Korea, 12.1% others. We have Students from more than 15 countries over the world.
In 2016, the construction of a new, state-of-the-art campus began, which would allow the school to expand and accommodate more students. The new campus was designed to provide students with modern facilities and resources that would support their academic and personal growth.
Looking to the future, TAS is poised for continued growth and success. While the specific accomplishments and milestones of 2023 are yet to be defined, it is clear that the school will continue to provide students with a world-class education that prepares them for success in college and beyond.
